The Boilermaker
Apprenticeship is a four (4) year or 6000 hour program of on-the-job
traning. Also included are related
studies of 48 lessons done at home, 21 on the job tasks to be completed and
three (3) week school in Kansas City, Kansas each year.
Qualifications include
No fear of heights
Must have good
transportation to travel with a 3 ½ state area.
Must have legal right to
work in the United States.
Must be physically able
to perform the work and must be over the age of 18.
Applicants will be
subjected to a drug test.
Condensed Work
Experience:
Welding
Oxy fuel burning
Blueprint reading
Layout procedures
Fittings
Safety
Work performed on
storage tanks, smoke stacks, air pollution systems, power generating stations,
chemical plants, refineries, cement plants, both new construction and
maintenance.
