Three (3) years apprenticeship

 

The plasterer works in the area of construction doing cement plaster walls and ceilings, stucco, ornamental (such as cornices, molds, arches, coffered ceilings, etc.), fireproofing, E.I.F.S. systems (Dryvitt, Stoul, etc.)

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

At least 18 years of age

High school education or a G.E.D.

Physically fit to perform work of the trade

 

Familiarity with construction is helpful

 

Needs to furnish own hand tools

 

Work will be performed indoors and outdoors

 

The apprentice will receive increment wage rate increases based on a percentage of the journeyworker rate.

 

The apprentice will be required to attend related training classes in the evenings and Saturdays.

 

Condensed Work Experience:

 

Basic materials

Use of floats and trowels

Browning

Finishing

Repairs

Basic plan reading

Special finishes

E.I.F.S.

Sprayed-on-plaster

Fireproofing

 

Applications taken year round
